Naturally derived SLENDID® Specialty Pectin is a label-friendly ingredient developed as a fat replacer. It provides a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, texture and body in low-fat and non-fat beverages, sauces, dressings, mayonnaise, ice cream and cultured dairy products. SLENDID® Specialty Pectin performs well in cold processing, in products with acid and neutral pH. Like a traditional pectin, it also acts as a thickener and stabilizer with excellent flavor release. Grades to support “organic” label claims are available.
