CEKOL Cellulose Gum is a water-soluble polymer derived from wood or cotton cellulose and produced to a minimum 99.5% purity. And to make things even better, CEKOL Cellulose Gum hydrates and dissolves readily in both hot and cold water.

CEKOL products are multifunctional and their easy-to-tailor ability combined with cost efficient performance makes them an attractive choice for many food applications.

In beverages CEKOL grades protect proteins in low pH environment, provides body and mouthfeel and reduces oil ringing. For bakery products CEKOL grades improve dough strength, and even extend freshness and shelf-life through moisture retention. And did we mention? CEKOL can also help control ice crystal growth – a key functionality in frozen products.

By choosing the right CEKOL product, you can achieve the desired rheology for any aqueous system, including suspensions and emulsions. Aside from controlling rheology, CEKOL Cellulose Gum also has excellent water retaining and film forming capacity.

Most of the CEKOL Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose grades are classified as standard pharmaceutical grades. These CEKOL grades meet the requirements of carboxymethyl cellulose sodium for pharmaceutical use by USP/NF, Ph. Eur., JP and most other pharmacopoeias.

For toothpaste and oral care products, special grades of CEKOL are designed to address the individual needs of certain manufacturing conditions and specifications.
