Atlanta, Georgia, USA, November 6, 2011 – CP Kelco is proud to report that five production facilities have been certified in the Global Food Safety Initiative, Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000. The company plans to have all facilities audited, certified and compliant in the first half of 2012
“This global food safety management standard continues to build on existing quality management systems and validates CP Kelco’s food safety systems across the globe,” Gary Jansen, Director, Global QA & Regulatory Affairs states.

Beginning in early 2011, CP Kelco embarked on a Global Quality Improvement and Food Safety Initiative. The initiative is designed to elevate the commitment to quality and food safety, and will be validated by 3rd party audits of all facilities by the end of 2011.
Certified facilities are located in Äänekoski, Finland, producing cellulose gum, Lille Skensved, Denmark, and Grossenbrode, Germany, manufacturing pectin, carrageenan and refined locust bean gum product lines, San Diego, California xanthan gum and gellan gum facility, and the Okmulgee, Oklahoma xanthan gum plant.
