CP Kelco Expands Distribution Partnership with Biesterfeld in Europe

ATLANTA, August 10, 2020 – CP Kelco and Biesterfeld have announced an expansion of their long-term partnership in the food and nutrition sector in Europe. As part of this partnership, Biesterfeld is distributing CP Kelco’s nature-based pectin, carrageenan, xanthan gum and citrus fiber in Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Estonia, Lituania and Latvia, as of April 2020.

J.M. Huber Completes CMC Sale of Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) Business

ATLANTA, June 30, 2020 – J.M. Huber Corporation has completed the divestiture of its Carboxymethyl Cellulose business (CMC) to Nouryon—a global specialty chemicals company with about 10,000 employees operating in over 80 countries around the world. The transaction, finalized after approvals from the European Commission and other global regulatory bodies, transfers ownership of the Huber’s CMC facility in Äänekoski, Finland, to Nouryon, effective today.

J.M. Huber Announces Sale of Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) Business to Nouryon

ATLANTA, January 30, 2020 – Announced today, J.M. Huber Corporation signed a definitive agreement to sell its Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) business to Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals company with about 10,000 employees operating in over 80 countries. The transaction is expected to close in early 2020, subject to regulatory approval.

CP Kelco Finalizes Sale of Taixing, China Plant

ATLANTA, December 11, 2019 –  CP Kelco, a global leader of nature-based ingredient solutions, has announced the sale of its Taixing, China plant to Hansstar Taizhou Textural Ingredients Co., Ltd.

The facility in Taixing supported CP Kelco’s production of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). CP Kelco remains committed to producing high-quality CMC products for the global market from its facility in Äänekoski, Finland.

CP Kelco continues to maintain a strong presence in China. In July of this year,  the company launched an expansion project to enhance biogums production capabilities at its Wulian, China facility.
