GENU carrageenans are purified, natural hydrocolloids extracted
from selected species of red seaweed and marketed as highly active, standardized
powdered carrageenans:
GENULACTA types find application in milk systems
GENUGEL types find application in water systems
GENUVISCO types are used as thickening agents/stabilizing agents
GENU carrageenans have established their position within
the food industry as uniform gelling and texturizing agents of high quality.
GENU is the trademark for pectins and carrageenans marketed
